- New College of Florida invites applications for a visiting assistant professor in Physics anticipated for the academic year beginning August 2013. New College is a nationally recognized, highly selective undergraduate public honors college with an 11:1 student:faculty ratio. A Ph.D. in Physics is required. The successful candidate will preferably be a theorist with research interests in areas of statistical mechanics or general relativity and is expected to have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The teaching load is two classes per semester, plus supervision of tutorials, January independent study projects, and senior theses.
